What goes on in Che's mind when he sleeps....dreams and nightmares
Monday, May 14, 2007

/dev/null Funny how dreams can be so real and vivid, but right when you wake up, you figured out it was a dream/nightmare and as time passes, memory of the dream gets cloudier until it is nearly forgotten or fades away locked up and the key thrown away. Well, at least that happens to me a lot. There are times where I will wake up and start to take notes if I even remember to. Whether they are dreams or nightmares, odd how the mind works when a person is asleep.
So the other night, I had this dream, scene was in my apartment as it is now. Where the coffee table is facing my TV, and my sofa and chairs. I'm walking out of my bedroom, or I was entering my apartment from the outside, when I noticed things weren't the way they were suppose to be.

An intruder yes, but robbery it was not. Things in the living room were the same, but somehow the patio there were new items and things misplaced. For a second as I walk into my living room, it was bright as day, but once I went to the patio, nightfall has set. It was odd, because out of my patio, I have a view of the city, were shimmering and sparkling lights dazzle the eye, but there was no scenery this time, the sky was pitch black, there were no city lights, that is not the focus of why I was at the patio in the first place.

I discovered a new item at the patio. I normally have two chairs with two mini coffee tables. Yes very minimalist, but that is somewhat of my taste at times. This item, was a fancy serving plate, one who would use for Thanksgiving. On the plate were triangle slices of watermelon, which appeared to have been dried (I don't know if this is possible, but this is my dream and I'll tell it as it is). I did not eat the fruit, but noticed a note that was left next to the plate. Opening this small piece of paper showed this:

*Going to my notes on my phone now*
Che,

Hope you like dried fruits.

Tiffany

The moment I read that note in my dream, as I type out that very sentence, I have the same feeling, trying to analyze what it had meant. I mean clearly there is watermelon that was all sliced and ready to eat, but till this day, I don't know a Tiffany.

I woke up to a server notification and that was literally all she wrote. This should be on Unsolved Mysteries, what happened to that show anyway?

Granted this has been categorized as a dream and not a nightmare. My nightmares are a another story. Don't think I'm a complete psycho or someone that needs to be locked up in an asylum. But here is one of my nightmares that I will probably never forget. Granted this nightmare came upon me probably a year ago, and I still somewhat remember it.

Scene was a very dark light room, almost like it had candlelights that were very dim. I'm looking at this room in the third person, only to discover an aluminum rectangle box that was sitting in the middle of the room. There were open slots on the sides of this box. Scene changes, now I'm in the freakin box!! It's a coffin, an aluminum coffin. Out of desperation, I'm banging on the coffin trying to make a noise to see if someone can hear me. When I heard a rattling sound of a lock on the topside of the coffin with each bang. I look towards each side, where there are holes, plenty of clearance for me to stick my arm out and try to do something. So I did, I tried to reach out, trying to discover the lock, when it was too late. The aluminum coffin that I was trapped in was made of sheet metal, it started to carve into my flesh as I desperately try to find where that lock was. And here I laid, in this coffin, absolutely terrified, without my freedom, and I will do anything to try to pry that lock away. Which lead to pain as each deliberate clawing of this lock and at the same time the coffin was digging into my flesh as I scream in horror.

I wake up, to find myself with my heart racing, in my room, drenched with sweat, and the sensation of needles running down my arms. My arms fell asleep, probably in some awkward sleeping position, but nonetheless, the sensations contributed into my nightmare. Crazy shit huh? Yeah, freaked me out.

I have another, but I will probably save it for another day.
