Who is my favorite artist, or what type of music does Che listen to?

 If you hadn't already known, I was a music major in college. I studied music history which ranges from Gregorian chant, classical (baroque and romantic periods), jazz, and pop music. With a big influence in music and actually know how to play, what do I listen to?
Well, I rarely do listen to classical music. I wish I have listened to it more. The closest thing that resembles classical music would probably be movie soundtracks. Things that you hear from the movie Gladiator or A Beautiful Mind, etc.
I have been caught listening to drum and bass, rap, trance, r&b, and some other genres. I totally despise country music, and I've kind of grown out of trance music. If I was listening to the radio, I would probably be listening to KNX, 93.5 (Kday), or 89.9 (KCRW). Yeah I know, wierd twists, depending on my mood.
So which artists do I like the most you ask? Well, my favorite artists are Aaliyah and Nas. Honestly I feel Aaliyah was going to be the next Janet Jackson. Incredible looks, beauty, can sing, great hooks and lyrics. Why the hell did she have to die? The only thing I have to remember her are obviously the music that she has and movies that she has been in (Romeo Must Die, Queen of the Damned). My god was she absolutely gorgeous in Queen of the Damn.As for Nas, he has a very lyrical mind, with touches on religion, gangs, and very deep words that all flow like a waterfall.The music that I have probably grown out of are trance and rock'n'roll. Well, back in the early 90's, I just absolutely loved alternative music. Now adays, its not my taste. Aaliyah, rest in peace, you will always be remembered. Nas, keep doing what you are doing.
